How a Villa Security Deposit Works — Refunds and Deductions

A security deposit is a refundable amount held against possible damage during your stay — it is not part of the rent. It's usually collected on arrival and refunded after the villa has been checked at check-out. The check covers breakages, missing items and anything beyond normal cleaning; ordinary wear and tear is not a reason for a deduction. Most villas refund the deposit within a few working days of departure, back to the method you paid with. If a deduction is needed, you'll be shown the reason and, where relevant, an invoice. If there's a disagreement, our reservations team will mediate between both sides.
